1. Information we collect
You provide:
- Account: name, surname, mobile number, password (stored hashed).
- Profile: village/location, profession, blood group, gender, photo, date of birth, NRI status & country of residence.
- Family tree: relatives' names, relationship, and invite phone numbers you add.
- Content: posts, comments, poll votes, blood requests, group messages, donation records, history/memory submissions.
- Referrals: phone numbers of people you invite.
Collected automatically:
- Approximate & precise location (GPS), only to show nearby blood donors and location-based feed — with your device permission.
- Device push token (for notifications), app usage, IP address, and basic device info.
We do NOT collect: payment card details. Donations use manual UPI (you pay our UPI ID directly); we only store the amount, reference, and status you enter.
2. How we use it
- Run core features: blood matching within ~5 km, community feed by village/surname/profession, groups, family tree, referrals, leaderboards, popular people.
- Verify your identity and secure your account (OTP, login lockout).
- Send notifications (blood needs, reactions, follows, announcements) — controllable in settings.
- Show your public profile (name, village, profession, blood group, badges) to other members.
- Prevent abuse, moderate reported content, and comply with law.
3. What others can see
- Your name, village, profession, blood group, photo, points/badges, and posts are visible to other members.
- Blood donors' contact appears to members raising a matching request nearby.
- You can choose anonymity on donations and limited privacy in Privacy Settings.
4. Sharing
- We do not sell your data.
- Shared only with: other members (as above), service providers who host/operate the app (database, cloud storage, push notifications), and authorities when legally required or to protect safety.
5. Storage & security
- Data is stored on secured cloud servers (MongoDB Atlas). Passwords are hashed; connections use HTTPS.
- We keep data while your account is active and as needed for legal/operational purposes.
6. Your rights
- View and edit your profile in the app.
- Request account deletion or a copy of your data by emailing support@pidikili.com.
- Turn off location or notification permissions in your device settings (some features stop working).
- Withdraw family/referral entries you added.
7. Children
Not intended for users under [16/18]. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes
We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date shows the latest version. Continued use means acceptance.
